Wooden Pen Care
Your New Pen is made from natural Wood. As with any fine instrument, some care must be taken to maintain the beauty and the structural integrity of your handmade classic.
Protect it with a light coat of good furniture paste wax designed for wooden products. We prefer the use of Renaissance Wax, it will protect many surfaces from the oils and acids from your skin. After proper drying, buff with a soft clean cloth.
Do Not leave your pen in your car. The temperature extremes can destroy your writing instrument. Heat and cold are both are enemies of wood. Many Burls and Rosewoods are very heat sensitive. Protect it and it will deliver years of service. Treat it as you would any fine, delicate instrument. Although it can withstand a lifetime of use it will not tolerate abuse.
Do Not use cleaning fluids or any abrasive substance (car wax) on any part of your new writing instrument. The fluids and/or abrasives will damage the fine finish.
Acrylic Pen Care
Resins such as Corian®, Tru Stone, Dupont Solid Surface, Acrylic, Alternative Ivory and others, are man-made products using papers, plastics & resins.
These materials are more tolerant to extreme heat & cold and are therefore more stable, bit are more susceptible to chipping or cracking if dropped.
Do use plastic polish to revive the luster. A quality rubbing compound can buff out light scratches. Renaissance Wax will protect many kinds of surfaces.
Your pen is not designed to be hidden away in a drawer. Enjoy your finely crafted one of a kind writing instrument.
